In Vignettes III, the author takes the reader to new places both in Iceland and abroad. The inspiration for these narratives can be found in contemporary events, various kinds of natural disaster and changes with the structure of Icelandic society over the past century. As in his previous two works, \u00c1rmann Reynisson takes the reader by surprise, opens up vistas into a variety of worlds, and shows many insights into human behaviour, and often with a stroke of unexpected boldness. The narratives are
